The basics

Understanding IPTV

IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television. Instead of receiving channels from a satellite dish or a coaxial cable line, your television pulls them across your existing broadband connection. The result is the same live channels, movies and series you would get from a traditional provider, with no dish on the roof and no technician visit.

A satellite package needs a dish mounted outside, a decoder box and an installation appointment. IronIPTV needs none of that. You use the broadband connection already running into your home, install one application, and the content appears. It is substantially cheaper and there is no hardware to return when you stop.

A stable broadband connection of at least 15 Mbps handles HD and 4K comfortably. For true 8K streams we recommend 25 Mbps or more. The important word is stable: a connection that averages 50 Mbps but collapses at 8 p.m. will buffer where a steady 20 Mbps line will not.

Run a speed test on the device you intend to stream from, not on your phone, and run it during your usual viewing hours rather than at midday. Canadian ISPs often route smart TVs differently from handsets, so testing on the right device is what matters.

For most households, yes. The lineup of 28,000+ live channels covers Canadian locals, US networks, premium movie channels, every major sports league and more than 80 international bouquets, alongside 200,000+ on-demand titles. Devices & setup

Getting IronIPTV on Your Screen

IronIPTV runs through the IBO Player application, which installs on Samsung and LG smart TVs, Android TV boxes, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Windows and macOS computers, Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, and MAG or STB-style set-top boxes. Our setup guide covers each platform step by step.

Yes, and it is often the best option. Many Canadian condo boards and rental agreements prohibit mounting a satellite dish on a balcony or exterior wall. IPTV sidesteps that entirely because it needs nothing but the internet connection already in the unit.

After your order is confirmed we send your playlist line or portal credentials on WhatsApp, normally within 30 minutes. If nothing has arrived, check your spam folder first, then confirm the device is online and that IBO Player is installed. Registering the playlist on the IBO Player portal is what makes the channel list appear.

Yes, at no cost. Install IBO Player on the new device, send us its Device Key and MAC address, and we re-point your line in about a minute. Your remaining term is unaffected.

One connection, on one device, per subscription. If your household needs a second simultaneous stream in another room, order a second subscription. Contact us before you do and we will quote a household rate.
